— The process —
So, you want a Web site...or a fresh start
If you've looked over this site and think that 7 Leaf Design might be what you're looking for, then great!
Our first step will be to set up a time to talk -- in person if possible or by phone. I'll want to get a feel for your needs and how you envision your Web site. This will be the time to mention any special needs or features to make sure that I will be able to get you what you want.
If all goes well, I can get to work on writing a proposal for your new site.
Building the structure
After the contract is signed and we've agreed on a timeline, my job is to begin constructing the framework for your site -- that is, the basic site templates and style sheets that will be the basis for every page I create.
What I'll need from you will be photographs that you have of your business and anything else that may be of help in making your site customized to you. If possible, we'll use your own custom colors, pulled either from official logos or photos of your work place.
Once I have a working design, I'll send you the layout to give your approval -- or your suggestions.
Adding the content
After you are satisfied with the design, I will add the content that you provide -- that is, all the information that you want displayed on your various pages.
Again, once I've added everything, you'll have the chance to add, subtract or edit the information with me.
Launch!
The final step will be for me to help you purchase your domain name and server space, if necessary, and get your site launched.
Once your site is out on the World Wide Web, I will give you a disc containing all of the files, templates and style sheets that I used to build the site, as well as a copy of the site itself.
If you want, I can also work with you to set up a way for you to update your site. If not, then you can contract with me to update the site as needed.
